X is my favorite game of all time. Am forever grateful for what it did to that little girl back in 2007, to the moments of joy she had with her gramma after a hellish day in school. For what it did to me as an adult now and how it holds gramma more closer to me after her passing. I hope more people get to be impacted by it like it did to me too.

One thing I appreciate as an adult that I recognized as a kid but couldn’t articulate was Tidus and his different tone when narrating versus how he talks every other time. He lacks any of his usually higher octaves and optimism and as you play the game he slowly matches that more cynical tone he has when he’s in narrator mode

I remember walking into a Gamestop as a teenager during high school, glancing across the game-filled walls to spot Tidus on the cover of a greatest hits used copy of Final Fantasy X...having never played any serious RPG before (technically Pokemon games are RPGs) nor any FF games, I picked up this game only to have my life changed forever after experiencing the magical world of Spira!

People clown on it real hard, but to this day I still think it's one of the better examples of good voice acting. The laugh scene gets memed on out of context all the time, but Tidus' inner voice being deeper because he's recollecting, Auron's masterclass and overall pretty nice cast playing around with the tension... That thing was damn good.

The love story between Tidas and Yuna is what kept me captivated throughout the journey. Was Yuna going to accept Tidas or reject him? Full well knowing her life will end at the end of the pilgrimage. Then we have the summonings, limit breaks, ultimate weapons. FFX will always be hold a cherished memory, such a work of beauty for its time.

I’ll never forget the feeling I got as a kid when you reach Zanarkand and there’s no battle music just a fleeting dream playing. Truly one of my favorite memories. I love this game

I played/beat it when it came out in 2001 on the PS2 and then I picked up the switch port for my 30th birthday....I gotta say, the thing that stuck out to me is all the things that flew over my head when I was 10 years old. Like the overall feeling of sadness/death throughout the game. Also I dont know if this is something other people notice, but props to Yuna's VA for always sounding like she's about to cry.

It blew my mind when you spoke about each Aeon singing their own Hym of the faith. Its such a small detail, but shows how much love went into creating this game. Its truly a masterpiece in everyday. I must have bought it 3 times and finished it at least 4. I first picked it up on ps2 becauss I thought the cover looked good and it was the 10th game! I might buy it again on the switch to support the team. Maybe one day we can get a prequel with Jeckt, Auron and Yunas Dad.

Listening to this opening scheme flashes me back when I got my PS2 with this game, I was super young and playing the game. Brings me back to wonderful memories and a life that is much more simpler than today. Such nostalgia.

Tidus taking that running jump, tearing himself from the world where his friends and love of his life are, makes me tear up every time. Even at 52. But that low five he then exchanges with Jecht makes everything right! We did it, dad. It was impossible, I hated you, but it had to be done and we did it. All in that one second. Absolute masterpiece.

I will never love a video game more than I love FF 8, as a lonely kid with no friends and abusive parents, I resonated with Squall so much, I fell in love with everything about it, I still remember being a young high school kid, balling my eyes out when I finally finished 8 and realised I was saying goodbye to what felt like the only real friends I had ever made in my life, even now at 34 watching something on 8 gives me a lump in my throat.

Honestly when I played the demo for FFX when it first dropped my friends and I literally said "Wow we are living in the future" The jump from PS1 era Final Fantasy to that?! It was palpable how far we had come even to our 10 and 11 year old brains.

The most epic Final Fantasy Ever created. At least for me. The music, the story, the battles Everything was just pure gold. I just recently started the FFXIV And I can't believe the childish s...t the story is. This music brings chills down my spine. "Cut the ones that matters!" Can't even count how many times I've applied that advice in various games. 😆

I always call Tidus the way I would pronounce Tidal Wave. Because I considered each main character named based around nature. Terra, which is Earth, Cloud being somewhat a persona of a Cloud, Squall meaning Wind and Tidus probably a resemblance to A Tidal Wave since he revolves around water. Hence why I will always call Tidus Like Tidal 😅
