Battle Network is a great series, but yeah, the first game is a little rough compared to the sequels. Hope you stick with em

From what ive read online, doing the virus breeder thing in bn6 (i dont remember what they call it, the thing where you collect viruses and fight mr progs with them) in English doesnt give you the Django chip that it does if you had it set to japanese. Pretty weird thing to mess up as it basically softlocks your postgame progress unless you get someone to help you out with one or you get it from the Otenko trader.

For anyone diving into the games for the first time, don't be ashamed of using guides to find your way around the storyline, they put stuff in some stupidly difficult places to find. P.s. change your fire alarm's batteries.

One of the best megaman battle themes. I prefer this over the DS version. DS version sounds too happy rather than "Your life is on the line, don't mess up". Especially the BN5 boss theme.

I respect the hell out the classic Mega Man formula, but it honestly isn't really my thing. These games however resonate with me big time. I remember picking up the first one on a whim and fell in love with it.

It's not that hard man, I beat this game as a 12 year old. Also please play the later entries of the series, they improve EVERYTHING.

I would like to also Echo that last point. Remember we would likely have never even gotten this if the sales for the X classic zero/zx and Mega Man 11 weren't at least decent and those wouldn't have even existed if not for the good sales of the original Mega Man Legacy Collection for the Nintendo 3DS. They've literally stated that the future of the franchise was riding on the sales of that ONE title. So this might not be your X9, Legends Legacy Collection or Star Force Legacy Collection but this one's sales may very well affect those as well.

Battle Network is my top favorite MegaMan series as a whole! I remember watching the Anime on KidsWB and was invested in it. Lan Hikari was my favorite protagonist because he's always want to help and have fun at the same time

Does Megaman Battle Network have its flaws? Yep. But so does this little thing called FIRST GEN POKÉMON. And look what that grew up to be :P

I'm having fun with this collection and it's given me a chance to play the only game I haven't in this series I do wish there was a map in them though I always get lost in the first game

BN2 was my entry point to the series, and may have been the first game I ever “finished” in my life. Holds a very special place in my heart

Megaman Battle Network 3 Blue Version was my first Megaman game ever. I loved every single moment I spent playing the games, having fun playing the game and honestly crying at points. I'm so pumped for the Legacy Collection and hope this helps us get a future title from this part of the franchise!

The first BN game has HEAVY first game syndrome. 2 and onward fix most of your complaints. More post game. More/better chips. Better chip drop rate (3 introduces the collect program to guarantee a chip drop). More of a reason to fight enemies because of the style system. Better program advances (Body Guard is your best friend). And more of a reward for completion (like hard mode or a new final boss).

I actually didnt know that was how slasher worked! All the way back as a kid I couldnt for the life of me get it to work lol, that and Varislash, the one that requires inputs for the specific sword you want to use. Loved your series and all your megaman content!

I fucking LOVED Battle Network. I played the hell out of those games, and I grew up with the originals too. But how have you had no experience with the Battle Network series until now? You even have some of the games on the shelf on your set there. >.<

I remember the morning the collection got announced, I just sat there in awe, like, is this REALLY happening!? This is literally what I wanted since the original MM legacy collection was even announced! With each passing Legacy Collection I just said "Battle Network when?" Now it's FINALLY coming!

Ever since I got my switch a few years ago, I've been saying how I wish I could have the old Battle Network games on it. This collection release is really a wish come true for me. I don't have a lot of memories playing these games, but the ones I do have are quite fond memories. I'll be getting this. Maybe not super soon, because of personal budgets, but I will be getting this.

The whole game series is amazing, I played all of it growing up and my top 3 would be 4, 5, and 6.
