Dang, these comments are making me sad. I'm 50, but played a lot of minecraft with my son when he was younger. I remember he would be afraid to go into the caves, so I'd go in there first and place a bunch of torches for him. Then we'd mine for gold together. We had so much fun exploring and building. Now he doesn't play much anymore. I hope he has good memories of those times when he's grown and on his own.

Just imagine when you're at the end of your life, and this soundtrack starts playing for the first time in 50+ years. Imagine the tears

As much as I like to make fun of this game, it's actually one of the best and most memorable gaming experiences I have ever had. I will never forget.

I’ve been playing Minecraft since 2010. My mom got interested in it around 2014 and we played together on self-hosted servers, first vanilla then modded (Blightfall, Orespawn, Life in the Woods, Sky Factory, Stoneblock, Sevtech Ages, Rustic Waters, and so many more). When she moved 2,000 miles away, Minecraft was the only way we got to interact. Building, fighting, exploring, or just talking. She passed away in July of this year (2025) from cancer. The last words she spoke to me were in response to me telling her I missed playing Minecraft with her. She said, “me too.” Miss you, mom. Minecraft worlds are so much emptier without you.

Minecraft was like being in a lucid dream back then. The graphics, the music, the sound. My 12 year old brain got attached to that simplicity. Life was simple, just like Minecraft. You wake up, go to school, come home and play Minecraft until bedtime. In Minecraft I would spawn in a new survival world and immediately start building a house out of wood blocks and prepare to go into a cave to find diamonds while avoiding the monsters at night. A very simple Minecraft adventure. Now I’m 21 and life isn’t so simple anymore.

I’m 17, and I’m heavily nostalgic towards minecraft, to the point that it’s not a good thing. It makes me wish so badly that I could go back, and feel like I’ll never feel that “childhood wonder” again. Honestly it feels like my nostalgia for my younger days have somewhat wasted my time as a 16-17 year old.

Listening to old minecraft music made me realize how much I miss my childhood. Im 20 now and I wouldnt trade anything for the time I spent with my brothers on Minecraft before we all grew up. Embrace innocence. Memories like these are worth more than diamonds.

If only our parents knew, They weren’t buying us Minecraft, they were buying us a fun childhood to look back on and smile.

I turn 18 in 7 minutes, and one of my cats was just buried. Im glad to find a little bit of reassurance in such memories. Goodbye childhood, sorry you had to end on such a low note.

While listening to 7:51, I remembered the birch house I built when I was 4 or 5. It was only 6 blocks wide. Those were the good old days.
