I just finished playing this game, and even though I think it's one of the greatest games I ever played, I do agree that if this were made by another person, it would've been forgotten. And throughout the time I played it, I did acknowledge its flaws, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game.

I just played through Policenauts (Saturn version, with the Virtua Gun!) for the first time last year - glad I was able to experience it finally. This is a neat look at the PC-98 version - I didn't realize this and the console versions resembled each other that closely, outside of the redone art and whatnot. Thank you for making this!

I have a Yamaha-keyboard with these exact samples in it that i haave had since my childhood in the 90's... And for a long time this was just a "Konami-logo" for me, but after playing Policenauts i recreated this song using the keyboards' record-function and had it in there for years... And then i forgot to hook it on to a power-cord before removing the massive batteries to replace them... And my hard work of listening every beat, every tune, every jingle... Was removed from memory of the keyboard just like that... Good times. Never tried to do it again, or with any other cool song i had in mind. Gave up and forgot the thing... I should've pursued music back then... Bitter memories.

A long time ago. A young boy found a beautiful song that helped him with depressesion listened to it for days before asking for a 1 hour version then finally a legend made this. I remember it to this day you making this meant so much to me. Thank you for that

I enjoyed this game a metric fuck-ton and am incredibly thankful for the great localisation / translation. You may love it or hate it, but it absolutely IS a masterpiece that deserves to be tried out at least. Kojima did things differently. And I applaude that.

There is a english fan translation. All you need is either the japanese game or a rom. Then download and patch it and there you go. One of the best intro themes in gaming history.

I first played Metal Gear Solid 23 years ago. I have always loved the little melody that played over the Konami logo in that game. It wasn't until JUST NOW, hearing the Policenauts soundtrack for the very first time, that I found out where that melody was from. And now I've listened to the entire soundtrack. And Policenauts has one of the best game soundtracks I've ever heard.

Im starting to like the idea of the term i think im coining as the kojimaverse, starting with the era of big boss, and solid snake. Then a handfull of decades later in the future, snatcher and policenaughts, then a handfull of decades later zone of the enders and the second runner. It kind of shows what would come of a quick progression of technology in a sifi world rapdily advancing due to the creation of ai and giant mechs the late 20th century to what that would leade too in the mid 21st century and what it would eventually cause in the early 22nd centruy.

I love that you went to check this out. I've looked up much about this and Snatcher though never played them, but is interesting is you seemed to find the Kojima elements of this in it's odd manners satisfying in this game. Those quirky humor elements or overly technobabbled manners are what used to sway me from liking the MGS series in total.It's been only recently I've opened up to embracing it more clearly and I do still love the moral/scifi questions he tries to explore in this game
