Portal 2 also has one of the best visual jokes I've ever seen, with the giant vault door opening, like several stories tall, and when it's finally opened, the lights turn on to reveal a concrete wall behind it with a single, normal sized door.

Believe it or not, when you play Portal 2, keep the music on. Trust me. Note: there’s currently a toddler in the replies crying.

It feels like I'm pressed against the glass of my memory, looking at the past, helplessly trying to go back.

oh god the nostalgia from when i first played this game.. I feel portal 1 was much more creepy than portal 2, to be honest. The music is so.. haunting. It's perfect for the atmosphere. Just, you know, waking up in this place (god knows how long it's been since everyone there died) with nobody but that homocidal AI that actually has intentions of killing you.

The music that plays during Wheatley's betrayal... so many chills...

I should've mentioned Doug Rattmann! The story of the character and the ARG fascinated me, but for some reason it didn't cross my mind when I was writing the video. Big oof. Sorry to disappoint!

My man really had a come to Jesus "now you're thinking with Portals" moment and he documented it for us. Brings a tear to my eye.

I remember when I played portal and when this song would come on I would just be still and listen. This track is heartbreaking and heavy, a stone in my soul. It's a reminder of the grim realities of inescapable isolation and the knowledge of being entirely alone, forever. Gorgeous piece, but be careful how you listen to it.

Self-Esteem Fund is a composition of spectacular bottom, makes him feel to the player the loneliness in which the personage of the game lives. A masterpiece!

Portal is one of the best games ever. My favourite scenes are that first one and when you enter that cave and see those old ball test chamber things, with that awesome track playing... Witch are your favourites?

Portal 2 always felt more like a Pixar movie similar to WALL-E while Portal 1, despite it's unique and quirky sense of humor, still felt like a game that took place in the Half-Life universe.

There's something so endearing about watching someone play portal for the first time. Glad you enjoyed it as much as you did.

The first few seconds of this brings tears to me, and gives me major goosebumps. Nothing does this to me.

No Cake for You still gives me chills, the first time I found one of those hidden areas I just sat there and listened...

You had so many "Now you're thinking with Portals" moments. I love still seeing new blind runs to this day.

My dad wishes he didn't get games for us as kids. I played the Orange Box when I was four. This game, (including half life) I believe, made me who I am - how I think. This is why I'm smart and have an understanding of things through trial-and-error. Thank you, Valve, along with the students who first came up with this. I wouldn't have obtained the same level of curiosity without this game. And I actually am thankful towards my dad. He's the one who bought the Orange Box for my older brothers lol

People say self esteem fund is creepy, I find it somewhat comforting. It's always felt like a mysterious yet soothing like you're home but your also in a dream state.

Portal 2 holds a special place in my heart. During a time where I felt tremendously lonely as a kid, I was able to use Portal 2 to escape from these feelings. I enjoy my own company much more these days, but I will never forget the tremendous impact that Portal 2 has had on me during a period of my life where I felt hopeless.

Regarding your chair solution at 15:50, the intended solution was that you use the rocket turret to blow up a hole in a nearby glass tube that has cubes in it, then a cube falls out and you can step onto it like you did the chair in order to get up to the top. Also, it was so interesting to see someone play this game for the first time! If you liked the voice lines in this game, believe me, Portal 2 is 2x as humorous as the first game, and it carries the same amount of charm!

I remember when I first noticed this song back in 2012, I was replaying Portal after a few years and picked up on the loneliness of this very specific song, this was a very lonely period in my life so it made things all the more intense for me, but I loved it, and this game.
