Ragnarok Online was my first contact with online play. When I typed "Hi" in the game and someone actually replied I was completely blown away. This game will always have a special place in my memory.

Listening to RO's BGM always brings me to tears, man. It’s such a deeply nostalgic feeling like being transported back to those golden childhood days that are never coming back. Ragnarok Online was truly a special game, and to this day, I haven’t found any other that evokes the same emotions in me. Some of my most cherished childhood memories are from this game, and it ended up having a huge impact on my life. RO will always have a special place in my heart. <3

I used to play this game at an internet cafe and always bought 1 plate of dumplings, Now I can buy 100 plates of dumplings but I can't buy memories of playing in the past

I remember the time when our country's official server ended. The owner of the internet cafe that were playing for so long actually bought pizza and drinks for everyone, it was like the last grand event for us. It was the first and the last time I saw so many people crying for an online game's shutdown.

as a child.. playing this game and being immersed.. so many towns...theme songs.... fields, dungeons.. starting with nothing to slowly build up your character... you make friends and work together...thats the magic of ragnarok.

I got married on a private server once. This was before there was any marriage system built into the game, so we just winged it and gathered a massive group all the way up to Glast Heim. There were a few casualties, but we had like 30 dudes dogpile Abyssal Knight and defend the ceremony. Good times.

Remember when we used to explore and hunt peco peco and get killed by MVPs and level up and go on parties and do quests? Now we all have jobs and mortgages and stuff.

Philippines, circa 2005, it's raining. Playing in an internet cafe with friends, Prontera theme hits, then internet cafe server play the song "The day you said good night" by Hale, followed by "Tell me where it hurts" by M.Y.M.P. These 3 songs/music mingling will always take me back to my childhood.

Never has another MMO in this series solicited such emotional reaction and nostalgia from me than this one. Hearing the first few seconds of the main menu screen music alone made me tear up like a kid again. It truly is a bad day for rain 😭

I was 11 years old... and fascinated that my poor PC could run Ragnarok. Fell in love instantly, and miss this lovely game to this day. Oh, the memories....

I seriously miss the times I was meeting up with my online friends to just hang around, farm for random items and headgears and so on... hearing this soundtrack made me sob quite hard. People who didn‘t play it wouldn‘t understand the feelings this music creates. Good old memories on EbilRo ❤️

Ragnarok Online is still going strong in Brazil. It's impressive to see that even after all these years, the official servers here in Brazil are still crowded and bustling with activity. It's a true testament to the game's lasting appeal and the loyalty of its fans.

This brings back memory when I was a 16 year-old little archer. My brother was a thief. We were walking by foot from Prontera to Morroc to Payon to safe our zeny! 🥲😅

I still play ragnarok to this day. bRO server (oficial brazilian server), top 1 damage and refine this month we are celebrating 20 years anniversary on bRO (i've been plaing for 19 with zero quits)

Gosh, this one was hard to watch, but I could never agree more. I proudly played RO for more than 8 years and today I still have that deep feeling of something missing in other games that I had in Ragnarok, when you mentioned the "group focused gameplay", as a mainly support player, it was HUGE to me seeing parties actively looking for support players because it was a NEED. I miss the golden ages of Ragnarok, it's a memory I'll definitely carry for my entire life, and I hope I find at least one other game that gives me that good feeling that Ragnarok used to give.

The Prontera song just hits me so hard in the Nostalgia. Walking up and down the main road checking out peoples stores, chatting to mates, unlocking my swordsman job for the first time. Bygone era.

It's relaxing forsure..but the nostalgia makes me either cry or get hype. Thus is the essence of life and growing up in a nutshell. I miss this game so much.
