Transistor - Paper Boats
Memories:
-
The thing that makes a game soundtrack truly great is that you can easily listen to it outside the game and have it hold it's own against traditional albums - to have it resonate and bring back memories of moments of the game is truly a thing of wonder. Thankyou Supergiant Games, Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett and Logan Cunningham!

Man, I still come back to this song a whole decade later. You can legit feel the emotions through the singers delivery mixed with just everything

Blank canvas will always give me chills because of that God damn ending, and the fact that red was humming paper boats during it all in the game. I am so hyped for Pyre because God damn transistor was amazing

Bought this game for $5 on a sale and felt like a thief by the end of it. Every game so far from this studio has been an experience and a half.

There are so many video game songs that give me chills due to nostalgia. I don't really remember this song from the game and I still get chills—that's how I know it's a good song.

Happy anniversary. I can't believe it's been 10 years. I remember when this track was first presented on the playstation showcase of Transistor. It's almost cruelty that the track wasn't made available until the launch.

Red (Ashley Barret) Has a beautiful voice. I don't remember the last time I have heard vocals so full of quality.

I love how the first song is named "old friends". Seven years later, coming here to listen to the soundtrack feels exactly like that, meeting an old friend.

When I first heard this song, I immediately thought of the Skyfall song. This sounds so James Bondy...

This song landed with me six years ago when Transistor launched. It sticks with me now. This song, for me, will last a lifetime!

Is it bad that I've become addicted to this song? This is one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard. I swear I've had it on loop for the past day or so, and it still sounds as absolutely stunning as the first time I heard it. It captures the game's atmosphere so perfectly and even gives off a bit of a "Skyfall" vibe (albeit personally I find this song better than Skyfall.) I can't help humming along to it, and occasionally sing along with it, which isn't something I normally do.
