Ah... just got to the part where he talks about how rare version 1.00 of Wii Sports is. I was gifted my Wii console the Christmas after launch, but a few years ago when a cousin and I tried to play the copy of Wii Sports it came with, the Wii U wouldn't recognize it. :( Knowing that it's of value for a speedrunning community makes it even more of a bummer.

I can't believe you guys didn't mention this, but when you 100% island flyover you actually get your own private island that hosts your own little house with a flag displaying your Mii. It's these little touches of character and detail that keep this absolute masterpiece as one of my all time favorite games to this day.

I grew up on Sports Resort rather than Sports. I had Sports as well, but Sports Resort was my life as a kid. Good to see this game getting more recognition :)

8:20 POV: you're 6 years old, playing Wii Sports and your very own Wii console for the very first time and this is the first thing you hear when playing Bowling. prolly one of my best childhood memories

Fun fact, my family got a Wii in the later years of its life, and it came with both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort disks included for free (and also the motion+ and jacket). So there definitely was a group that grew up with Resort as a pack in, even if that group isn't as large as those who had Wii Sports as their pack in exclusively.

When you guys showed the opening to wii sports resort i legit cried. Tears were rolling down my face. I don't think i'll ever feel again what i felt that christmas back in 2009

05:47 I love this one. It reminds me of the memories of wii sports back in 2011. I miss when Nintendo had good music tracks for the older systems. I literally almost cried because I have so much good memories of the Wii and even though I have a switch I don't find it as special as the Wii. I also love 17:24. For reference, this is her son. :)

I spent hours as a kid just cycling around Wuhu Island in Wii Fit Plus, and even more flying around it in Resort. It's crazy how much nostalgia I get just from seeing that aerial view of the island.
