Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - Multiplayer Theme
Memories:
-
Each time I hear that Metroid Prime theme kick in. Chills all over my body.

I remember getting this game for Christmas. I loved Prime so much, and Echoes was my most anticipated game of the year. It was the only thing I asked for that year, so imagine my excitement when I opened my final present and found... a hairdryer? Yea, my parents hid the game in a hairdryer box just to watch my heart momentarily break. Jerks.

I always loved the darkness of Prime 2. There's an atmosphere of death, decay, and doom that lingers over the game. It's so satisfying and cathartic when you beat it then. It's like seeing the sun again for the first time

I'm just now playing through echos, and just got here. Oh man, the chills when I saw the sprawling lights below and this menacing tower infront of me. This game is so much *darker* than it's predecessor

The masterpiece that is Metroid Prime was my introduction to video games at the age of 3, and my God, it has such a massive influence on my whole life. The title brings me to tears every single time and I love it.

Every Metroid fan I've spoken with prefers Echoes over Prime 1. I don't know who it is you're around that says otherwise, but glad you got to enjoy the masterpiece of Echoes.

I'm getting emotional because this brings back so many memories as a kid.

Another thing to note is if Samus failed not only would an entire race go extinct but the Ing would spread. I believe the moth dude(I can't remember his name) outright says that if the Ing were to take Aether then they would soon spread and become a threat to the rest of the galaxy including the Federation.

To this day. No place in Metroid has ever gotten the feel of the Sanctuary Fortress. Its actually insane how good this place is.

Metroid Prime Trilogy has to be one of the greatest collection of games ever to be released. It's so awesome being able to play through the trilogy with proper mouse and keyboard support, thanks to Prime Hack... I remember getting excited when I first saw the MP4 teaser back in 2017, but I really hope we'll see something from that game soon.

This must be one of the best videos about Metroid Prime 2 I've ever seen. It perfectly describes why i love the second game the most out of the trilogy. Well done!

This game scared the shit out of me when I was a kid, now I'm playing it thinking, "whoever got it for me back then, thank you..."

15 years later and the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes intro is still my favorite in all video games.

I remember my first full playthrough of Metroid Prime 2 and I didn't think anything could top what I just heard from Torvus Bog then I hit the Sactuary Fortress and this plays. Man I was blown away it fits so well. Metroid music has always been untouchable to me because it perfectly captured the environment and current moment going on to a tee. Can't wait to hear the different soundtracks in Metroid Prime 4 and Metroid Dread for that matter!

Good lord, that is an excellent Samus voice over. The part in particular regarding Prime 2, "mirror us, immitate us, echo us" followed by the prime 2 theme was a brilliant editing choice (and very clever writing) that actually managed to give me goosebumps.

It really bugs me how so many people write this game off as being "the first game but harder and less colorful" and just ignore all the improvements the game made to prime 1's formula, and the new elements it added to the series. I can understand why most people prefer prime 1, but prime 2 deserves far more love than it gets.

I loved Metroid Prime and I was so excited for this game, when I put the disc in and this intro kicked in I got goosebumps with those heart beats, the recognizable tune, the guitar riff, it was so amazing, you knew you were in for a treat.

my favourite track of the game, it has this mysterious and ominous atmosphere... reaching this area for the first time is an unforgettable experience. Would love to see this thing remastered.

It blows my mind that a game that came out nearly 20 years ago still, in my opinion, visually holds up to this day. Prime had some incredible art direction.

I’d beaten Prime 1 and 3 over ten years ago as a kid, but I just finished this game a couple days ago on Trilogy WiiU, and it is now one of my favorite games of all time. Everything about it, the puzzles, the world design, the exploration, the progression, the pacing, the bosses, the difficulty curve, the music, it’s all so much better than Prime 1, and I already loved that game. I’m still riding the high from the experience, it’s just so good. If the Sky Temple Key hunt was for a useful optional upgrade and the Logbook hints were better, I think this would be a near-perfect game, if it isn’t already. I will absolutely replay this game in the future, maybe on the GameCube.
