My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Yellow, but I eventually had HeartGold. That game was amazing, and I say that as someone who played the original Crystal Version. It was probably one of the best Pokémon games I ever played

Honestly, SS aint just my favourite remake poke game, it's my favourite poke game. To this day, Gamefreak hasn't topped it.

I'll always remember when i bought Soulsilver back in 2010, December 31st to be more precise and spent the entire New Year's Eve just playing it all day and it was just awesome revisiting the region where my Pokèmon journey began back when i was a kid and that to me is like returning back home after a long time away. Still have my copy with me almost 15 years later with everything and Pokéwalker "which i've only used once and still looks brand new though i don't think it turns on anymore XD"

First they made Platinum which was super great, then HGSS came just after. There should be no mystery why to this day I still regard Gen 4 to be the greatest genereation of pokemon ever. Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed those games..

When I first got HG I transferred my starters to the pokewalker and then restarted my game. On my third restart I added them back and had all 3 starters for my play through. Good times

I was 10 when FireRed and LeafGreen came out, but having been treated to Emerald and Diamond and Platinum soon after. I was 13 when HGSS came out and to this day we haven't had a more complete Pokemon game

Pokemon HeartGold and Soulsilver are truly the best Pokemon games: a fulfillment of the early versions, with mysteries and a rich storyline with, in the post-game, the confrontation with Red at the end of the end of the world, showing that things have come full circle. The music fits this masterpiece perfectly

Pokémon Soul Silver is a fantastic game and remake. Not having to worry about your save being tied to a battery also helps. You can tell a huge amount of love was put into these games. I loved taking the Pokéwalker to school and interacting with my friends and being impressed over how many steps I could get. One thing I also loved doing was fighting Gym Leader rematches during the proper time of day. And then when I beat them, immediately call them on the PokéGear to summon them back to the Fighting Dojo. Really helped with grinding for Red.

Hands down the best games in the series. Having the incredible ds graphics at the time with the return to kanto, it was so damn good. It’s something that I want to replay at 24 years old.

HG/SS are my personal faves, especially since it was the first Pokémon game I ever played as a kid (it came out when I was around 10) and I loved it. That and B/W will always have a special place in my heart since I grew up with them and unfortunately I haven’t kept up with the Pokémon franchise since :( Side note: anyone else remember playing the Pokémon ranger games?? I loved those

Dude, that's exactly what happened my senior year. Class of 2011. Halfway through the year, the counselor informed that I hadn't gotten my required speech and health credits and that I had two options: take them in a computerized setting (predecessor to the online classes everyone knows now) before the end of the year, or not graduate. Guess what I chose? I was lazy most of high school, but senior year me was on another level until the wake-up call. Nice to know other people have gone through that and then become successful, too.
