Waw I was not expecting to hear from raggae, ska, new orleans jazz to funk and rock in a Mario kart ost especially off such good quality and composition, one of the best Nintendo soundtracks so far, thank you for reviving so much childhoods memories in such a fucking good orchestra. I'm so happy they put a good part of the budget in the musics.

Man, I still remember that fateful Christmas morning 2009 getting MKwii and playing with my three older brothers. It was one of the first video games I have ever played and I couldn’t ask for a better one. The magic of the Wii wheel and the pure chaos That game was. Along with new super Wii and ocarina of time those games raised me.

I'll never forgive Nintendo for not giving the final boss theme from 3D Land a remix. Because we REALLY need an official remix of that absolute masterpiece. Same with Rainbow Ship from Mario Slam Basketball, but I don't think that's very likely

This masterpiece of a collection of Mario throughout the franchise deserves a more fitting name than to be called a mere soundtrack, it’s a beautifully masterfully orchestrated collection of Mario Musical genius. They didn’t just cook a single meal, they served up an entire Buffet. This might be the greatest OST Nintendos ever made and it’s no contest.

Something that was failed to mention is that I feel like this is the only Mariokart game where you can go from first to last in litertally 5 seconds. I love how it adds to the chaos that isn't present in the rest of the games! I hate how in the newer versions you can kinda just hangout in first the whole time without the crippling fear of getting hit by a blue shell, and then get squished, and then get hit by a bullet, and to top it all off get struck by lightning. Truly a timeless masterpiece

This game = my childhood. I was 9 when this game came out, and I STILL play it with my dad on occasion. So many memories wrapped up in it... The other Mario Kart games just don't have the same level of magic. I wanna get CTGP and see if all the hype is earned, btw.

I’m a student from Korea and this is my absolute favorite study music. I play the whole 11 hours on repeat about 5 times whenever I have exams. As someone who grew up with Mario, I love the quality of these tracks. Thank you so much!

I watch MarioKart Wii videos regularly but this hit me with a level of nostalgia I didn't know existed... I love the, idk how to describe it... naive/pure reviews of the tracks? You totally described how 8 year old me (and probably the average casual player) felt about the game back then, ignoring all the shortcuts, how unbalanced some items are, etc. While in hindsight this is very similar to an average game review, you really made it feel special somehow and I love you for doing that.

As a person who 100%-ed this game, I’m glad to see people still talk about it. It’s by far my most favorite game. I practiced the most with it and I fondly remember how everyone in my grade would almost never beat me because I was just too good for it. And for the super leaf item, whenever I wanted to get rid of it, I would let it take the hit from a red shell or something and intentionally not slap it away so it would delete the leaf. As for customizations, I eventually settled on Standard Kart with Mushroom wheels and it became my go to because it was super consistent

I remember back in the day, GameXplain would have this series called "Cool Bits" where he would identify easter eggs in Nintendo games. I submitted the detail that if you drive backwards to summon the U-turn Lakitu, then position yourself before a thwomp, the Lakitu will actually get smashed by the thwomp. And Andre turned it into a video! That was the crowning achievement of my teenage years.
