This game was actually my introduction to the Super Smash Bros. series. Watching my older cousin Billy playing the Subspace Emissary with his friends was one of my dearest childhood memories. Hell, I still remember how, upon them beating Rayquaza, I was like: “The wild Rayquaza fainted! The wild Rayquaza fainted!” as well as me trying to bribe one of them with a sausage link at breakfast to get him to play as King Dedede. Dedede is now one of my mains.

The Music Arranger of Super Smash Bros Brawl Kenichi Okuma passed away Yesterday in his bed due to Esophageal Cancer. He is also known for sound design for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie (1995) and his work for Pokémon Red/Blue. May he rest his soul as he gifted us the best in our childhood

Brawl is so special to me in a way very few games are. Growing up, I poured so much time into unlocking every character, getting every trophy, playing a match with every possible combination in Special Smash, and beating the Subspace Emissary eight times. (Yes, eight.) I just never seemed to run out of stuff to do, and now, ten years later? I still haven't.

My mom got me and my brother a wii for Christmas one year and it came with the usual games but the one she got especially was this one . She knew how competitive we'd be and the eventual tears when one of us won also known as cheating (if u have brothers you'll know) but despite this it made me so happy sering this again and being reminded of family :)
